My name is Victoria Hosman and I am a Roman Catholic. I am a recent Murray State University alumna and I currently live in Western Kentucky.
While in college, I was an active member of the Newman House Catholic Campus Ministry. I was involved all four years of college, and I attended a Bible Study every semester. During my Junior year, I was a member of the Spirit and Truth team, which means I helped set up and organize Monday night Eucharistic Adoration for Newman students. During my Junior and Senior years, I was the Liturgical Chairperson. This means that I found people to serve as lectors, servers, Eucharistic ministers, and ushers for Student Mass on Sunday evenings. I also provided training for anyone who needed it and I trained my successor as well. Also during the fall semester of my Senior year, I wrote a newsletter for Newman. Over Spring Break of my Senior year, I went on a mission trip to New Mexico.
During the summer of 2017, I was a staff member at a Catholic youth camp here in the Diocese of Owensboro. Working at this camp was one of the best experiences of my life. The camp and the people I met there will forever hold a place in my heart.
After graduation in May 2018, I have begun my career as a writer through blogging and writing books. Since then, I’ve put writing books on the back burner, to maybe be picked up later. So now, I focus mainly on this blog and my personal blog.
A few fun facts about me:
- I am a nerd with many fandoms.
- I was born with only one wisdom tooth.
- I had two sets of tubes in my ears and now have scarred eardrums.
- I have a greeting and goodbye call with one of my best friends.
- I have never been outside of the United States.
- Places outside of the US that I would like to go include New Zealand, the Vatican, and Scotland.
- In college, I majored in English Literature and double minored in Professional Writing and Religious Studies.
